Joojeon Stone Seaweed

Joojeon Stone Seaweed is produced at the neck of the rapids, which has a rapid ocean current, where seaweeds touch the edge of the rock, so that it has a special taste with its chewy property even after boiling.
Joojeon Stone Seaweed contains high quality minerals, lamina acid, algin acid, especially algin acid absorbs heavy metals, agricultural chemicals, and carcinogenic substances contained in the human body and has the 'sponge effect' that removes these substances.

Classification

Features

- Leaf : It is a pinnation which is split and has lots of hair on the skin, so it may look like a scattered dots with a naked eye. The mid rib of foliation connects to the stem and is flat, and in basal part a sporophyl called a seaweed ear is formed where spore forms.
- Stem : It has a flattened egg shape, and the root in basal part has dichotomous shape which splits many times to have a complex twisted shape. The growing point of thallus is at the joint of stems and leave, so stem does intercalary growth with it.
- Dermal layer : The skin of thallus is very slimy because the mucous gland changed from epithermal cell secretes phlegmatic temperament.

History
In the instruction book, 'the Beginning of Study' written in the time of Tang, it is written that "Watching a mother whale who delivered a baby whale eat seaweed to cure her injury, the people in Korea dynasty period began to let women in childbed eat seaweed", so we come to know that it dates back to ancient times.
