- The conditions for breeding of Shitake Mushrooms
We provide the best conditions for Shitake Mushrooms to grow by using the blocking window to protect from both heavy rain and sunshine so that the mushrooms have better quality even during the rainy season.
- How to grow Shitake Mushrooms
Inoculating of spores -> watering -> falling down the logs -> germinating -> producing -> selling (delivery, marketing, processing) The breeding usually starts from May, yet, it may differ according to the kinds. Starting with watering, you should fall down the logs and then water enough on the logs for 2 or 3 days. If germinating starts, you should let the logs stand straight. And you can harvest them in a proper time. You can crop the high quality Shitake Mushrooms after the enough dormancy periods of 20 to 30 days for the next breeding. You should use the logs of Oak tree lumbered during the period of November to February. You should cut the logs into 1.2 meters long by 15 centimeters round in circumference and hollow through inside of the logs where you can inoculate the spores. And you should turn over the logs one or two times during the growing period. You can harvest the mushrooms time one year later. Time for harvest may vary by the kinds of mushroom products. The dried Shitake Mushrooms are usually collected from May to June for the spring harvest and from September to October for the fall harvest. |
